Research Insight: how to find the innovative people in your organisation

Over the years I have run a number of two day Innovation workshops for managers from industry.  Amongst other things, the workshops include brain-storming and other techniques for generating new ideas.  And I’ve always been struck by how some delegates take to this like a duck to water, whilst others really struggle.  So I was most interested to read this article in the Sloan Management Review which demonstrates how social networking can be used to identify employees who are naturally more innovative than others.  It seems the more diverse someone’s network, the more innovative they are.
