Inamo – five years on

In January 2012 Inamo had two restaurants in London.  Five years later one restaurant was closed, and two new sites were developed – one in Covent Garden and another in Camden.

I blogged about this concept because of its use of technology.  They have a virtual menu which is interactive.  I suspect that one of the reasons that this chain has not grown significantly is that it is not just a restaurant company, but a technology company.  They have a sister company called Ordamo that has developed and sells interactive ordering systems for a number of different hospitality settings, as their website explains.  Hence maybe the Inamo concept is a ‘shop window’ for their products, rather than a chain they plan to develop.
