A stitch in time…?

Interesting article on The Manufacturer website about the shortage of skilled workers in the UK textile industry.  This is likely to become worse as the sector is expected to create 15,000 new jobs by 2020.

To overcome this problem, a British Company – The Stitch Society – is collaborating with Keighley College to set up a textile academy so that people can learn the skills that they need.  More information about the company and this initiative can be found on their website.
