The evolution of six sigma in Starwood Hotels

In our book, Operations Insight 9.3 (page 241) is about the implementation of six sigma in Starwood Hotels.  This video provides further insight into how this originated and subsequently developed.   What is interesting is how the original six sigma approach ran out of steam, but was rebooted by adopting some new tools and techniques based on lean operations.
