“3D printing being used in construction ROUTINELY is certainly on the horizon”

This is a quote from an article about plans to design and build SwimCity, a whole neighbourhood with low cost housing for students and young adults, built on a Swedish waterfront.  The buildings would be 3D printed.

The speed at which this technology is being adopted across a very wide range of industry sectors continues to amaze me.  Exactly how and when it will transform how things are made and business is done is very hard to predict.  But there is little doubt that it will be as transformational as the internet and satellite technology have been.
