Aesthetics as an order winner in the airline business

In some markets, design is important in order to deliver aesthetic quality to customers.  A recent article in the Telegraph highlights the collaboration between some airlines and well known designers.  In the main this is focused on one specific market segment – the first class passenger, although Braniff Airlines used it with their whole fleet in order to support their market entry strategy.  We discuss aesthetics as an order winner on page 38 of our book.
