Disney drones and smart chopsticks

Two hi-tech stories caught my eye this week.

First, Disney have filed patents to use drones over their theme parks.  These would be used to create aerial entertainment spectaculars and to control very large animated puppets during a parade.

Second, Time reports that Baidu have developed ‘smart chop sticks’.  These detect different types of oil used to fry food, warning of any contaminated oil (‘gutter oil’ has been a recent food scandal in China).  And this video explains how they do it…
