Robots as a marketing tool

This video shows the opening of a new Reebok store in Berlin.  I was interested in because a robot is used to pick shoe boxes in the ‘stock room’.  But as you will see, automation is used here as part of the servicescape, rather than to achieve improved performance.   It’s all part of the hype to turn the simple trainer into a fashion item, which can be sold at a premium price.

PS The celebrity rapper is way behind the curve when it comes to robots.
