Global market for smart phones is maturing and driving cost down

On the back of Samsung reporting its quarterly results for January to March 2014, the BBC Business webpage discusses the state of the global market for smart phones.  With Samsung reporting a drop in sales of 4%, it concludes that the market is maturing, especially in developed markets.  One outcome of this is that reach new and emerging markets, the cost of each phone will have to come down.  So all operators will be looking at how to manufacture low cost models.
