Global manufacturing competitiveness revealed

The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has been analysing the relative manufacturing competitiveness of the world’s top exporting countries for a number of years.  This slide presentation outlines the results of their latest survey.

The headline is that these countries can be grouped into four types:

  • ‘Rising stars’ – USA and Mexico
  • ‘Holding steady’ – Netherlands, India, Indonesia, UK
  • ‘Under pressure’ – Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden
  • ‘Losing ground’ – Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Poland Russia
