Having blogged about the Business Secretary Vince Cable recently, he was just down the road from me at AgustaWestland yesterday. He was there because the company was announcing that it had sealed a £1 billion contract to supply 16 search and rescue helicopters, plus support and training, to the Norwegian government. This is important for the company as it is seeking to diversify its market demand, to make it less reliant on UK defence spending. Agusta features as the Opening Case Insight at the start of our book.
More details about the contract can be found here.
