Welcome to the cinebar

Cinema going is on the decrease around the world, largely due to competition from providers of movies on demand at home.  So operators are employing a number of different approaches to managing their capacity…

  • By adding reclining seats, capacity is reduced but demand is increased for a premium priced offer.
  • Cinemas now screen many other things than movies, such as the recent Dr. Who episode, operas, and sports events,.
  • develop ancillary service in-cinema,  such as bars and restaurants, in order to drive up the average spend (and increase patronage).
