Inside the mind of football’s leaders…

… is the sub-title of new book – The Manager – shortly to be published by Bloomsbury.  It is sponsored by Deloittes and Barclays, both of whom have strong links with professional sport.  Based on detailed conversations with some of the most successful managers in recent football history, the book reveals the crucial issues that they have encountered during their high-profile careers.

Some time ago, in recognition of the size and importance of the sport and entertainment industry, we have tried to find OM stories and news items from these sectors.  It’s not been easy.  However we suspect that this book will provide some fascinating insights into how to manage people, develop an organisational culture, and get the best out of teams – as discussed in chapter 11.
