Online in store

Thorntons Chocolates features as the opening Case Insight in chapter 5.   Typically retail space and online ordering are seen as alternative channels of distribution.  But Thorntons are experimenting with combining the two.  As The Grocer explains, the company has installed kiosks in three of its stores that enable customers to order online.  The idea behind this is to boost awareness of Thorntons web presence, and to promote sales of products only available through this channel.
