They might be getting it?

On 1 May we blogged about clothing industry and the collapse of the garment factory in Bangladesh.  This provoked some of the strongest comments we’ve ever had on this blog.  So we were interested to see this very good article in The Economist, which discusses whether or not this incident will provoke firms in behaving responsibly along their supply chain.  Regrettably it seems that only some clothing firms are doing so.  This is despite the fact that the cost of doing so, estimated in Bangladesh to be around $3 billion, would only add a few pence to price of any clothing item, if spread over five years.
