Random hacks of kindness – open source innovation to create a better world

Check out RHOK’s website.  It’s a group of around 5,000 people dedicated to tackling real world problems by developing open source solutions on the web.   One of the tools that they use is the ‘hackathon’ – an event usually held over a weekend, when participants collaborate and interact with each other to go througha process not dissimilar to that developed by IDEO (the ‘Deep Dive’).  Some of the areas they focus on are health, education, transportation, agriculture and trade.
