An interesting approach to create a premium tourist experience in London has been adopted by smallcarbigcity.  One of their key order winners is that they have a fleet of retro Mini Coopers in which the tourist is driven around, or drives themselves, around the city with a guide.   This is all explained on their website, and illustrated with a great little video.   We like the fact that they have really thought through the order winners for the market their concept is aimed at – the music that plays on the car stereo, how the guides are dressed, where they take the tourist, and so on.  It obviously work because only six months after starting the company in 2009, smallcarbigcity was 3rd on TripAdvisor’s things to do in London list.
