Apple’s ‘mini ipad’ launch

Apple have launched their new ‘mini ipad’ today.  It has a 8 inch screen, so that it is similar in size to the tablets producted by Sony and Samsung.  The  ‘mini’ is aimed specifically at the Asian markets, especially China, where consumers have preferred to buy smaller and cheaper hand held devices.   A price point of just under $200 is seen as being competitive.
