Remote working – by robot?

Last week we blogged twice about robots, and joked about ‘beam me up Scotty’.  This week Suitable Technologies has come to our attention with their ‘Beam technology’ (a name which must derive from Star Trek surely?).   Beam does not physically move you from one place to another, but it does – according to their video – enable you to work remotely in another location.  This enables to work together without the need to travel, and also to work from home.   Moreover, because the Beam device is mobile, you do not need to be in a specific room to interact with it – so no need for a specific teleconference room.
