The Truth about Sports Products?

In the lead up to the London Olympics, the BBC’s Panorama programme investigated the claims made by manufacturers about their products.   Most of these products, whether it be running shoes, energy drinks or food supplements, claim to enhance the user’s perfomance.   In many cases, according to Panorama,  there is no scientific or independent research evidence to support these claims.   In which case, these manufacturers’ order winners are not really quality performance, but probably the aesthetics of the packaging.
